The Puente Futbol Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of youth through the game of soccer. 501(c)(3).

From the Co-Founders...
Founders, Brian Moreno and Christian Vellanoweth, have been childhood friends and teammates since the age of 5 and went on to play collegiate soccer together. Their friendship is a testament to how the game of soccer can build lifelong bonds and lasting friendships.
Christian's interest in establishing the Puente Futbol Foundation grew out of his 18 month international fellowship with the California Agricultural Leadership Foundation, which included a trip to Israel, Palestine, Jordan and Greece. In each of these countries, Christian delivered soccer balls to children in schools, community centers and in refugee camps and saw first-hand the joy of this simple gesture.
While in Bethlehem, a few hundred yards away from the site where Christ was born, Christian came across a group of kids playing in the street and handed out soccer balls. The look of excitement and hope in the faces of these children was the "ah-ha" moment when the concept of the Puente Futbol Foundation came to him. The excited chants of “Futbol! Fubol! Futbol!” from the children echoed from the walls.
When Christian returned from his trip he told Brian of this story. Immediately, Brian offered to help in any way he could. Once again, soccer has brought them together as teammates -- this time to build a non-profit organization as impactful and lasting as their friendship!
